Colorado Springs, Colorado IAFF Memorial.

Each year the IAFF descends on Colorado Springs, Colorado to honor the men and women who have on to serve at the station in the heavens.

This coming weekend is the service; but; by the time I hit the post button, hundreds will have already begun the journey, some will have probably checked in to the host hotel, for all of you my thoughts and prayers are with you because I know what it is like to stand in your shoes, I once stood there. But rest easy know the men and women of t...he IAFF are; and forever will be; there for you.

And I need to also recognize the members of Local 5 of the Colorado Springs Professional Firefighters Association and their families they are amazing, they give up their lives to come and host this huge memorial. They escort families to and from the memorial site, they take you sightseeing can't say enough good things!

Although the memorial is a one day event; where the class a blues come out get pressed all square; in which the men and women are honored. The time at Colorado Springs, Colorado is a week long event in which thier lives are honored and celebrated with parties of bag pipes playing at the top of the mountian or in the streets. It endless food and drinks with great conversations. It's about the Brotherhood of the IAFF.

And to the hundreds of honor guard members and pipes & drums members who come at their own expense, thank you! God bless all.
