The Bell for the 2nd sounded but the opponent tapped out before the fighter entered the ring!
This one was no where near as bad as the last one I Blogged about out of Billerica ! The crews in Wilmington got a good stop on this one save most of the home and what is inside.
Just about five o'clock Wilmington dropped the tones and put truck on the road for a possible fire at 28 Gunderson Road. The trucks went screaming north on Rt. 62 fortunately being a Saturday the gate where up at the north train station and the was no delays.
The 1st due rolled up reporting smoke and fire showing Delta / Alpha corner and began the fire attack laying lines. With good apparatus positioning by the 1st due the truck pulled up to its bumper and took the door as it is said able to shot the roof with little effort.
The Deputy Chief and Chief where rolling on the call in short order, when the Chief pulled up which was about the same time as the 2nd due rig, he called for the second alarm. Then gave his size up, to paraphrase "Command fire alarm fire in a one and a half story residential, fire delta / alpha corner!"
North Reading crews arrived and was quickly ordered up with masks & tool to go to work interior. As that was happening the so call Squad; running North Reading's Engine 4, was establishing a 2nd feeder line; but; they ran into an issue. The next plug down the road went dry on them. Command began giving them order to relocate the next road up and standby on laying in.
With the call for the 2nd route 93 became a seen with the rigs from Woburn, Reading and Stoneham screaming northbound getting off at route 62 then making a couple quick turns and gearing up to go to work. Tewksbury also responded to the scene.
With the water supply issue down the road crews where fortunate the 1st due had a plug right off its bow and tied in.
As I said in the beginning this Blog will be no where near as bad as the last one, crews got in and made a great stop.
